NBHA serves low-income residents of New Brunswick, NJ through two forms of housing subsidy: public housing assistance and housing choice vouchers (formerly known as Section 8).
The public housing program provides affordable public housing units within the City of New Brunswick. These units are owned and managed by the NBHA and are all located within the City of New Brunswick. A portion of these units are also managed by a private management company, that is overseen by the NBHA.
Housing Choice Voucher
The housing choice voucher program helps eligible families afford safe, sanitary and decent housing to live by paying a portion of the rent directly to the property owners.
