NBHA serves low-income residents of New Brunswick, NJ through
two forms of housing subsidy: public housing assistance and housing
choice vouchers (formerly known as Section
8).
Public
Housing
Description: The public housing program provides affordable public
housing units within the City of New Brunswick. These units are owned
and managed
by the NBHA and are all located within the City of New Brunswick.
A portion of these units are also managed by a private management
company, that is overseen by the NBHA.
Housing
Choice Voucher
The housing choice voucher Program helps eligible families
afford safe, sanitary and decent housing to live by paying a portion
of the rent directly to the property owners.
